Deer Hunting
Deer hunting approaches a religion in Pennsylvania. Schools are closed the Monday after Thanksgiving each year for the opening day of the regular rifle season. The hunting season for deer actually starts October with the opening of the archery season and ends with the late traditional flintlock season that ends in mid-January.
